This tour takes you around new nordic and iconic architecture and construction sites where new areas in Copenhagen are being developed. It’s not for nothing that Copenhagen attracts many tourists interested in architecture and urban development. Copenhagen knows how experimenting  architecture combined with a sustainable way of thinking improves quality of life. This leads to eg. new types of housing and new ways of living in Copenhagen.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
First sight on the tour is the sustainable City Of The Future - Nordhavn where we will stop at the ‘shining white star’ the FN city.
Next stop is the The Royal Playhouse by architects Lundgaard and Tranberg. The nordic look to this building is beautiful and the edifice combines theatre with an open foyer and new possibilities to explore the harbour. We continue to the popular Islands Brygge where new living areas are developing rapidly with row houses and old industrial buildings being transformed into hip apartments.

Next we visit Ørestad known for combining high technological and iconic architecture with a green way of thinking life. We stop at  the round shaped and popular Tietgen Dormitory by Lundgaard and Tranberg. The tour continues and passes Jean Nouvel’s DR Concert Hall named “the meteor”. Next stop is Bjarke Ingels’ famous “'Mountain” and “VM houses”. From here we also see the skyrocketing hotel Bella Sky. We pass the most sought out High School in Copenhagen - namely the Ørestad College by the architects 3XN.
For the lunch break we visit a forest in Ørestad - but not just any forest. The forest is placed inside the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers and functions as a meeting place for companies and local residents. Here you can buy lunch or refreshments.
Next stop is the famous and iconic 8House by Bjarke Ingels Group.
The 8House has a prime location to the huge nature reserve Kalvebod Common. Nowhere else in Europe is a nature reserve of this size so close to a metropolitan area.

We continue to the ‘Venice of Copenhagen’ namely “Sluseholmen” built on eight artificial islets, where canals and bridges connects the islets. The edifice Metropolis  - a futuristic building looking like a Starwars movie is located on a peninsula and rises  11 storages.  We continue along Kalvebod Brygge where we see the SEB Headquarters - two commercial buildings by Lundgaard and Tranberg connected by an impressive landscape of ‘gletchers and nordic forests’. From here we head back to the ship passing Kalvebod Brygge.

On the bus tour the guide will also unfold these architectural highlights:
The Royal Opera, The Black Diamond, The “Crystal”, the Harbour Pool by BIG, “Havneholmen” and Gemini Residence.
